Alaska-Divide: 2nd edition on the tablet
Since the idea for the Alaska-Divide was born about 6 years ago, a lot has changed. The original start was planned for 2020, everyone knows what then came. Finally, this August we started the Alaska-Divide. Meanwhile, a lot of the route got pavement. But one thing has not changed: the remoteness, the loneliness, and the nature with breathtaking landscapes.
This summer we have been thinking, that this will be the only edition. But after cycling it and finishing in Prudhoe Bay there is no question, that Alaska-Divide will have the following editions. There is unlikely any race with the same character.
Miron from Anchorage had 700 miles into his legs after only 3 days. Then he had to scratch because of Achilles’ problems. Pavel finished the 1686km or 1048 miles in only 5 days and 10 hours. That’s an impressive 320km per day. Followed by Irena with 6 days and 16h and Miroslav 3 hours later. In 4th position finished Andy and 5th Andrew.
Some had the chance to see the first northern lights of the year. The route goes over the Hatcher pass, then follows the Denali highway and the most northern and most dangerous route in North America leads the riders to Deadhorse.

The next edition starts on August 13th, 2023 and registration opens on 1st January 2023.
Swiss-BikeAdventure, ITT
Individual Time Trial challenge is possible till the end of October, and you can start wherever and whenever you like – the finish point is the same as the start. You can register till 20th September 2022.
